Fission Started
The first power unit of the Kudankulam NPP, being constructed on Russian project, has been taken to minimum controllable power level. According to Indian Mass Media, the first unit started fission on July 13, late at night. Thus another step to the unit power start-up, which had been supposed to be started by the end of August, was made.
