The document provides for the development of small-scale hydro power generation, renewable energy sources, preservation and efficient use of natural resources in the South Kazakhstan Region. The parties plan to jointly pilot a 2 MW containerized hydro power generator in the mountainous area of Southern Kazakhstan. Later this month Rosatom’s technical experts will visit the region for the first time to survey the designated site and determine the appropriate position of the container and water intake system.  After the project is completed, the parties will remain in contact to deliver new projects in the small-scale hydro power industry.
