The Memorandum has recorded the intentions of the parties to develop cooperation in the fields related to practical use of nuclear technologies and staff training. In particular, it is planned to cooperate in creation and development of nuclear infrastructure in the Republic of Uzbekistan, development of programs aimed at higher awareness of the Uzbekistani public on nuclear technologies and their application through creation of corresponding information centers, conduct of the basic and applied research in nuclear physics, the use radioisotopes and radiation technologies in industry, medicine, agriculture and other areas. For closer cooperation, the two parties plan to sign a standard umbrella intergovernmental agreement concerning the cooperation in the field of the peaceful use of atomic energy.
