Reactors getting ready for start-up
This year ROSATOM plans to start the first criticality programs at two power units in Russia. We provide a digest of recent events on the nuclear construction sites. The start-up of Unit 3 at Rostov NPP is planned for the end of this year. Recently, the plant management and executives of the engineering company NIAEP-ASE (the principal construction contractor) discussed preparations for this stage. “The busy season in all senses is starting, and all issues should be addressed promptly at this stage of construction,” Rostov Plant Manager Andrey Salnikov noted. “The construction priorities today are due dates and quality,” he said.
