In full steam on towards start up
Unit 1 of Leningrad Phase II is planned to start in 2015. Now, the main circulation pipeline is being installed on the construction site. The pipeline will connect the essential primary equipment, i.e. reactor, steam generators and reactor coolant pumps. The main circulation pipeline is designed to circulate the coolant through the reactor core and transfer heat to steam generators. In parallel, the fitters have started installation of four steam generators. Soon, the first stage of unsealed reactor flooding tests will start. Here are some fresh photos from the site.
