Just-in-time procurement
The VI International Forum of Nuclear Industry Suppliers ATOMEX 2014 ended in Moscow. It was attended by more than 600 delegates of the largest companies of the nuclear sector from Germany, Finland, France, Russia, Belarus, Czech Republic, Bangladesh, Japan, and Turkey. The participants discussed issues related to organization of supplies and improvement of quality of products and services, ensuring transparency of procurement, development of the competition, procurement problems, as well as specific requirements to the equipment and materials utilized at nuclear facilities.

At the forum of nuclear industry suppliers, the All-Russia Research Institute for Nuclear Power Plants Operation of ROSATOM (VNIIAES, carries out research into all problems of operation of nuclear power plants, writes operator’s NPP safety guides and regulations based on the IAEA recommendations) presented a project in the field of applications to automated process control systems (APCS) of NPPs developed jointly with Rolls-Royce.
