Shipments to be continued
ARAKO spol. s.r.o. (a Czech subsidiary of Rosatom's nuclear engineering division) made the first shipment of valves to the construction site of the PERN oil terminal in Poland.
Trainees tested the simulator
Tianwan NPP employees (China) underwent a three-week training course at the Balakovo NPP.
Long-standing partners
Energomashspetstal (a subsidiary of Atomenergomash, Rosatom's nuclear engineering division) received an order from its long-standing partner ABB, a Swiss-Swedish company, for a large lot of rolls that will be used to make electric motors.
FNPS prepared for tests
Rosatom plans to commission the first floating nuclear power station (FNPS) in 2019. The Akademik Lomonosov FNPS is to replace the soon-to-be-decommissioned Bilibino NPP on the Chukotka Peninsula. As for now, 85% of FNPS has been completed, and the station is to undergo a harbor acceptance test by the end of this year. In late August, members of the press visited the Baltic Plant building the FNPS.
Construction ongoing, talks on fuel
Construction of the Belarusian NPP goes as scheduled. Rosatom's nuclear engineering division prepares to deliver a reactor vessel for Unit 1 while Russia and Belarus are drafting a nuclear fuel supply agreement.
