FNPS prepared for tests
Rosatom plans to commission the first floating nuclear power station (FNPS) in 2019. The Akademik Lomonosov FNPS is to replace the soon-to-be-decommissioned Bilibino NPP on the Chukotka Peninsula. As for now, 85% of FNPS has been completed, and the station is to undergo a harbor acceptance test by the end of this year. In late August, members of the press visited the Baltic Plant building the FNPS.
Construction ongoing, talks on fuel
Construction of the Belarusian NPP goes as scheduled. Rosatom's nuclear engineering division prepares to deliver a reactor vessel for Unit 1 while Russia and Belarus are drafting a nuclear fuel supply agreement.
