A unique neutrino research facility will be created at the Novovoronezh NPP. A modern pressurized water power reactor VVER-1200 is the most powerful source of neutrinos on Earth, emitting about 600 quintillion neutrinos per second. In the near future, highly sensitive detectors will be installed at the station, which will monitor the neutrino flux, as well as beta, gamma, and neutron backgrounds. The project will allow conducting fundamental research, as well as creating a tool for remote monitoring of the operation of a nuclear reactor, increasing the safety of nuclear power plants. The neutrino is one of the most common and at the same time elusive particles in the Universe, which is still little understood.
