Akkuyu NPP. A full-scale simulator was put in operation in the training center located on the site of the Turkish nuclear power plant under construction. Its hardware and software make a digital twin of the power supply and control systems employed in the Akkuyu NPP reactors. The simulator relies on a robust mathematical model that ensures real-time simulation of the reactor operation modes. All the displays and controls of the simulator are identical to those on the main control panel of the Akkuyu power unit, and the information displayed on the simulator is presented in the same formats and units as on the real control panel. The simulator is designed to train all power unit operation scenarios and improve qualifications of the operating personnel.
