Armenia. Head of Rosatom Alexey Likhachev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed nuclear cooperation. The task of further extending the life of the Armenian NPP was designated as the priority. The parties agreed on specific steps that would allow the necessary work to be launched by the end of the year. In 2021, Rosatom completed work to extend the life of the Armenian NPP until 2026. The parties also raised the issue of eliminating the accumulated environmental damage at the Nairit industrial site. At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue work on joint projects in the field of the peaceful use of atomic energy and in related high-tech areas.
