Bolivia. Representatives of Bolivia, together with the Rosatom management, took part in the completion of the control assembly of the first research reactor for the Center for Nuclear Technology Research and Development (CNTRD), which is being built by Rosatom. During the event, the entire process of assembling the main technological equipment of the reactor was reproduced. Soon, a 200 kW reactor will be sent to Bolivia for installation at the CNTRD, which is located in the city of El Alto at an altitude of 4000 meters above sea level. The facility will make it possible to produce radioisotopes for research in the field of agriculture, ecology, and hydrogeology. In addition to the reactor, the CNTRD includes a laboratory complex, a cyclotron complex producing radiopharmaceuticals for clinical research, and a multipurpose irradiation center.
