Cooperation. Rosatom was an official partner of the Eastern Economic Forum 2025 in Vladivostok. Representatives of the Russian nuclear corporation took part in several thematic events. One of them was a discussion held at a meeting of the Northern Sea Route (NSR) Shipping Council and dedicated to the development of the NSR as an international transport corridor until 2050, and investments in its infrastructure and digital ecosystem. Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev said: “We have launched a platform that uses proprietary software and provides single access to the Northern Sea Route digital services, enabling traffic routing and monitoring on the NSR all year round. It allows for planning ship convoys, controlling navigation in the NSR waters, and collecting and processing data on weather and ice conditions.” Alexey Likhachev also announced the keel-laying of another nuclear icebreaker, Stalingrad, scheduled for November this year. He emphasized that the nuclear icebreaker fleet was a cornerstone for uninterrupted freight traffic on the NSR.
