Fuel. Novosibirsk Chemical Concentrates Plant (part of Rosatom) has manufactured and shipped nuclear fuel simulators – mock-ups of fuel assemblies – for the the Akkuyu NPP Unit 1 in Turkey. Equipment for testing the simulation zone was also shipped: models of absorbing rods for reactor control and protection, instruments for incoming control of nuclear fuel. Rosatom is simultaneously building 4 units of the Akkuyu NPP with VVER-1200 reactors. The launch of the first unit is scheduled for 2023.
