HTGR. Nizhny Novgorod, (Russia) scientists are developing a high-temperature gas reactor that can be used to produce hydrogen without CO2 emissions. R&D involves specialists trained by Rosatom in cooperation with the Nizhny Novgorod Technical University. “We have already developed and approved the preliminary design of the plant. Now we are moving on to the development of a technical project,” said Vitaly Petrunin, scientific director of the NSTU engineering school, first deputy general director of OKBM Afrikantov (Rosatom).
