IAEA. Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev and the head of the IAEA Rafael Grossi held talks in Moscow, Russia. Alexey Likhachev listed the steps that the Russian side was taking to ensure nuclear and physical safety of the Zaporozhye NPP. He noted that Rosatom highly appreciated the presence of IAEA specialists at the plant, and stated that for Rosatom the issue of safety of nuclear facilities was the absolute priority, regardless of the location or jurisdiction of the nuclear facility. Rafael Grossi stressed the need to create a safety zone at the nuclear power plant. Grossi and Likhachev meet regularly to discuss measures to ensure the safety of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
