IAEA. Rosatom’s Technical Academy and the International Atomic Energy Agency held a five-day training course in Vladivostok on feasibility studies for small modular reactor (SMR) projects. The course brought together officials from national regulatory and energy agencies in 20 countries across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America that are considering the construction of either floating or land-based SMRs. The course covered methodologies for cost-benefit analysis and economic viability assessments. Attendees were also introduced to the IAEA support framework for national nuclear energy planning and deployment strategies.
