Icebreaker. ZiO-Podolsk (part of Rosatom) has begun manufacturing the RITM-400 reactor vessel. Two such reactors with a capacity of 315 MW each will operate on the new, world’s most powerful icebreaker of the Leader project. It will be able to break through ice up to 4.3 meters thick and lay a channel up to 50 meters wide. As a result, the icebreakers of the Leader class will provide year-round navigation along the Northern Sea Route.
