ITER. The Russian poloidal field coil PF1 for the international thermonuclear reactor ITER has passed final tests. PF1 with diameter of 9 m and weight of 200 tons is needed to keep the plasma in the reactor. This is one of the 25 systems that fall under the responsibility of the Russian Federation within the framework of the ITER. PF1 refers to the elements necessary to obtain the first plasma in the facility. Sending the coil to the ITER construction site is scheduled for the middle of this year.
