MBIR Progress. The 2021 plan for the construction of the unique research reactor MBIR was exceeded by 8%. The installation of the reactor shaft equipment started last year. The arrival of the reactor vessel on site is expected in Q1 2022. MBIR is a multi-purpose fast neutron research reactor, which, upon commissioning, will become the world leader among high-flux research facilities.
