Nuclear medicine. Izotop (part of Rosatom’s Healthcare Technology division) has made the first shipment of germanium-68/gallium-68 generators to India under a new contract with Esente Healthcare, a local distributor of medical products. In the course of the year, Izotop will supply a total of 40 Ge-68/Ga-68 generators to the Indian party. Gallium-68 is used in nuclear medicine to detect a wide range of cancerous diseases by PET scanning. Earlier, in late June, Izotop won an international tender from Belarus for the supply of technetium-99m generators. The contract provides for over 900 Tc-99m generators to be supplied before July 2024.
