Power generation. Russian nuclear power plants increased electricity generation by 1.21% over the seven months of 2022 year-on-year, which amounted to more than 129 billion kilowatt-hours. This made it possible to prevent emissions of greenhouse gases in the amount of more than 63 million tons of CO2 equivalent. The share of Russian nuclear power generation is about 19% of the total electricity generated in the country.
