Rooppur. Installation of the reactor pressure vessel has been completed at the Rooppur NPP Unit 2 in Bangladesh. This event was launched by the head of Rosatom, Alexey Likhachev, and the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina Wazed. As part of the operation, the reactor was moved inside the containment of the reactor building, then, the 334-ton structure was installed in the design position using a polar crane. After the successful completion of the procedure, Alexey Likhachev took part in the opening ceremony of the NPP’s training center, which has no analogues in its technical equipment.
