Rosatom joined the Net Zero Nuclear Industry Pledge, an initiative aimed at tripling the world’s nuclear capacity by 2050, at the invitation of the World Nuclear Association. Over 100 companies endorsed the initiative. The document emphasizes the nuclear industry’s key role in producing clean, low-carbon electricity and combating climate change. Presented as part of the official COP28 program, the Pledge calls on governments, development banks and the World Bank to ensure access to green finance for nuclear power projects on an equal footing with other sources of clean energy.
