Russia and Uzbekistan signed an agreement to build a small-scale nuclear power plant. The document provides for the construction of a Russian-designed 330 MW nuclear power plant in Uzbekistan’s Jizzakh Region. The plant will have six 55 MW small modular reactors (SMRs). They will be built by Rosatom as the general contractor, with local companies also involved in the construction project.
