SMR. Russia and Myanmar have signed an intergovernmental agreement on civil nuclear cooperation. Under the agreement, the parties will work together to implement the project of a small nuclear power plant in Myanmar. The signing of the document took place as part of the opening ceremony of the Nuclear Technology Information Center in Yangon, a joint project of Rosatom and the Ministry of Science and Technology of Myanmar. The center will give the local population access to knowledge about the principles of the nuclear industry, the operation of nuclear power plants, and will provide information on the use of atom in non-energy areas.
