Sustainable development. Rosatom representatives took part in the anniversary symposium of the World Nuclear Association (WNA) in London. They spoke about Rosatom’s contribution to achieving climate goals. Andrey Rozhdestvin, CEO of Rosatom Energy Projects, provided an overview of national and international nuclear construction projects and highlighted the importance of innovative programs in the nuclear fuel cycle. Polina Lyon, Chief Sustainability Officer at Rosatom, talked about how Rosatom promoted the sustainable development of nuclear energy. “Rosatom is building nuclear power plants in countries that differ much in terms of their economies and cultures—we operate in Russia, Turkey, Bangladesh, Hungary, and many others. What unites these countries is the need for a reliable source of clean energy, which nuclear power undoubtedly is. We see how our nuclear projects improve people’s lives,” she said. Ivan Dybov, Director of Rosatom Latin America, shared the company’s experience in promoting multipurpose solutions for peaceful uses of nuclear energy in international markets, particularly in Latin American countries.
