The Volgodonsk branch of AEM-Technologies (part of Rosatom) has manufactured a housing of the reactor core shaft for Chinese Tianwan NPP Unit 7. The shaft is one of the three main elements of the reactor internals. The shaft housing consists of six shells and an elliptical bottom. The height of the product is about 11 meters, weight – 63 tons. Rosatom has already built the first four units of the Tianwan NPP with VVER-1000 reactors. Today, the company is building units 7 & 8 with VVER-1200 reactors
