Waste  Management. On March 1, a nationwide management system for class I and  II waste began operating in Russia. These include waste from  metallurgical, manufacturing, engineering industries, mercury-containing  waste and waste containing organic components. The system operator is  Federal Ecological Operator (part of Rosatom). The new system brought  together almost 50,000 market participants and allowed them to simplify  work with supervisory authorities, predict business development, and  apply for green financing. At the same time, Rosatom is creating a  network of ecotechnoparks for the efficient and safe processing of waste  into secondary products.
