back to contents“Power-Gen India & Central Asia” is one of the major exhibitions of the Central-Asia region with the main figures of the power-producing industry taking part in it. There they present their last achievements in the sphere of production, technologies and services, give both their participants and visitors some good opportunities to make new business contacts. Traditionally the leaders of the industry and government representatives of India announce their plans and goals in the sphere.
This year more than 7000 delegates and visitors from 41 countries took part in the event, with more than 270 expositions presented; more than 50 speakers performed in the business part. Rosatom joint exhibition stand with participation of its affiliates, such as Atomenergoprom (integrated company consolidating civil assets of Russian nuclear industry), Rosenergoatom Concern, Rosatom Fuel Company TVEL, NIAEP-Atomstroуexport (united engineering company), Atomenergoproekt (general designer and contractor of several plants) and Atomenergomash, machine building company.
Package Proposal
The Russian exposition was mainly focused on the unique ability of Rosatom to offer fully integrated solutions at the nuclear power market to the countries starting their nuclear power programs, as well as its readiness to render a complete set of nuclear fuel cycle services. Rosatom stand presented information on the scope of international orders for the construction of nuclear power plants; demonstrated how Corporation is presented geographically in more than 40 countries of the world on all five continents and gave a good idea of educational opportunities for foreign students in Russia.
Special interest was paid to the stand of the NIAEP-Atomstroyexport (ASE) joint company exposition; these days the company is working on the first stage of the Kudankulam NPP construction in India, within the bounds of non-governmental agreement. Russian specialists are developing engineering design and engineering documentation, conducting design supervision, supplying equipment and materials from Russia and other countries, providing technical support while mounting the plant and putting it into operation, training operational and service personnel. The information on the first stage construction of the Kudankulam and preparations to the second stage was given at the stand.
You could also read about NIAEP-Atomstroyexport activities, both in Russia and abroad, showing its wide experience in advanced managerial decisions, technologies of integrated process management of NPP life cycle and of other big engineering structures. On the first day of the exhibition the stand was an overwhelming success, attended by representatives of foreign companies, power engineers, top managers and executives in Indian energy sector, including the officials from the Planning Commission of India, key personnel of Kudankulam NPP and leading specialists from other Indian companies.
Machine-Builders’ Crown Jewel
Atomenergomash, Rosatom’s machine-building company, was another company to present its developments at “POWER-GEN India & Central Asia 2013”. The enterprises included in the holding (ZiO-Podolsk – NPP heat-exchange equipment plant; ARAKO – industrial armature producer for nuclear objects and SverdNIIchimmash – the leading organization for producing equipment and technological complex for radiochemical industry, NFC, processing and storage of radioactive waste) exhibited their production designed for atomic and thermal power industry, the quality of the equipment confirmed by decades of successful operation on Russian and foreign sites.
The forum also included some conferences on atomic and traditional power engineering. Specialists from India and other countries discussed various aspects and problems of power industry, including nuclear. The representatives of the RF took the most active part in the discussion. While the forum was still being on in Mumbai, the Supreme Court of India approved the launch of the Kudankulam NPP. “The plant is safe and absolutely necessary for the Indian society as well as for economic development of the country”, – said the Judges.
