June 9 ATOMEXPO-2014 frames a plenary session themed “Nuclear energy – condition for energy stability.” It addresses other topics as well, such as funding of nuclear build projects, competitiveness of nuclear as compared with other generation approaches, NFC back-end, planning and optimization of costs of nuclear electricity at the stages of design and construction, internal controls and audit, and human resources management system in the nuclear industry. 

On the same day, the round-table session “Internal control and audit. Best practices” is held. This session will focus on the best international practices of organizing controls and audit. The discussion sections participants can have a look at capabilities of the internal control and audit systems existing in Finland, China and Ukraine.

On June 10, 2014 the VI International Forum ATOMEXPO-2014 will include a discussion of nuclear generation economics at the round-table session “Planning and optimizing the cost of electricity generated by NPP at the stage of design and construction.” The participants will discuss existing approaches to cost estimation of electricity at different stages of the project life cycle, features of operation at different markets, role of the customer in kWh cost estimation methodologies, and other topical issues.
