This outcome has been suggested by the Portsmouth Daily Times in a report by The Jamestown Foundation. The report has focused on the dependence of the US nuclear industry in the Russian supplies of enriched uranium product under the Megatons to Megawatts program. Although this program ended in 2013, Russia continues the enriched uranium supplies to the US under commercial agreement valid until 2022.
