He spoke about civil nuclear prospects for the region at the round table discussion on Southeast Asia’s readiness for nuclear power. Rosatom’s engagement in Southeast Asia includes two VVER-based units to be constructed in Ninh Thuận (Vietnam), and establishment of a nuclear technology center. A Russian-Indonesian consortium involving Rosatom Group companies has won a contract to design a research reactor in Indonesia. Framework agreements have been signed with the Government of Myanmar and the Thailand Institute of Nuclear Technology.
