ZiO-Podolsk (a subsidiary of AtomEnergoMash, Rosatom’s nuclear engineering division) has shipped an E-1101 process gas cooler to its customer Nevinnomyssky Azot. The unit is designed to cool process gas used in acetic acid plants. The cooler is basically a heat exchanger for high-pressure process gases from high-temperature chemical processes. It is the first time that this equipment has been manufactured in Russia. All these coolers were previously imported. Technical documents have been developed by ZIOMAR. Having a daily capacity of 480 tons, the cooler is 8 meters long, 3.1 meters high and 2.5 meters in diameter.
