back to contentsAlong with offering relatively cheap reactors, Rosatom uses the Chernobyl disaster to its advantage. “Who understands the importance of nuclear safety better than the country that has experienced the largest nuclear disaster?” says the newspaper. “The company has signed nuclear construction contracts worth 100 million US dollars. New stations will be built in Russia and other countries, including Vietnam, China, India, Bangladesh, Belarus and Hungary. Rosatom has entered western markets, particularly Finland. Contracts have been signed with Egypt and Argentina; nuclear stations are planned to be constructed in South Africa and Jordan.
