“It was an open visit made in a very friendly atmosphere. We were shown everything we wanted to see,” Thomas stressed. The EC representative spoke in favor of expansion of contacts with Belarus, “The European Commission is making efforts to promote cooperation and dialog with Belarus across different areas. For example, we are trying to increase investments through the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and are now in search for new partnership opportunities.”
