back to contentsIAEA experts appreciated staff development efforts at the plant’s training center. “After having a discussion with plant employees, studying training program documents and watching the process of training a shift of operators by means of a full-scale control room simulator, IAEA experts gave the staff training center a positive review at the current stage of construction,” said a representative of the plant. The experts drafted a set of recommendations for further improvement of staff training at the facility. The IAEA recommendations will be applied by the training center to meet global staff qualification standards, a representative of the Belarus Nuclear Power Plant said. Unit 1 will be commissioned in 2019, followed by Unit 2 in 2020.
