Collaboration. Rosatom partnered in hosting the 18th Verona Eurasian Forum held in Istanbul. Speaking at the event, Kirill Komarov, First Deputy Director General for Corporate Development and International Business at Rosatom, said that global decarbonization could not be achieved without nuclear energy. “Tripling global nuclear power production by 2050 is a vital step for achieving sustainable development goals,” he emphasized. Kirill Komarov also noted the steady growth in demand for Rosatom’s technologies. “Rosatom’s projects help its international partners build reliable, carbon-free capacity and also directly contribute to economic growth, creation of new jobs, and development of scientific potential,” Kirill Komarov pointed out. A photo exhibition presented by Rosatom at the forum showcased the Akkuyu NPP construction in progress and the development of infrastructure in the Mersin province.
