Fresh nuclear fuel was delivered to two overseas nuclear construction sites in 2023, Turkey’s Akkuyu NPP in April and Bangladesh’s Rooppur NPP in October. Thus, the two countries joined the ranks of emerging nuclear nations. Four power units with VVER-1200 reactors are being built in Turkey, and two similar units in Bangladesh.
