Hungary. The Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority (HAEA) has issued a license for groundwater cut-off construction for the Paks II NPP project. Groundwater cut-off will protect the construction site as well as operating Paks NPP from groundwater penetration. Following the construction of the groundwater cut-off, excavation works on the Paks II site will commence. Currently, HAEA is reviewing construction license application needed for these works to begin. Rosatom will construct Paks II NPP with two VVER-1200 PWR units
