Hydrogen. Rosatom and the Chinese Energy Company signed a memorandum of understanding, which involves cooperation on a pilot project for the construction of a hydrogen plant on the Russian island of Sakhalin. The document outlines the main conditions for export deliveries of hydrogen from Russia to China. “We plan to start construction of the plant next year and put it into commercial operation in 2025. In order to export hydrogen to China, we are considering the scenario of ship transportation of hydrogen in liquefied form in tank containers,” said Evgeny Pakermanov, President of Rusatom Overseas (part of Rosatom).
