Technologies. The JET Engineering and Technical Center, part of Rosatom Service, has passed an audit authorizing it to supply simulators for the Paks II NPP in Hungary. The audit was conducted by experts from AtomStroyExport. The certificates obtained confirm the company’s capability to meet the nuclear project’s requirements and allow it to proceed with the design and manufacturing of full-scale and analytical simulators. The simulators are intended for the Paks II training center, where operators will learn to control power units under conditions as close to real operations as possible and practice responding to abnormal situations. The analytical simulator is scheduled for delivery in December 2027, and the full-scale simulator in spring 2028. JET equipment is already in use at overseas nuclear sites, including Tianwan in China, Kudankulam in India, Rooppur in Bangladesh, and El Dabaa in Egypt. The Paks II NPP is being built by Rosatom on a turnkey basis under a Russian-Hungarian intergovernmental agreement.
