The Moscow Experimental Design Bureau Mars (part of Rosatom) has manufactured a set of onboard equipment for controlling the weather satellite Arktika-M № 2. The satellite will be the second vehicle of the highly elliptical hydrometeorological space system with its launch scheduled for the end of 2023. The first satellite of the new system is already in orbit. Until 2025, it is planned to launch three devices of this series. The system will improve the accuracy of short-term weather forecasts and provide scientists with a large amount of new data to study the phenomenon of global climate change. Mars provides a full cycle of creation of onboard equipment from software development and manufacturing of block cases to flight support.
