Not long ago CEA Chairman Daniel Verwaerde met Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachev in France’s Cadarache nuclear research center to discuss the long-term cooperation between CEA and Rosatom. The agenda covers many aspects ranging from nuclear physics and development of Generation IV fast-breeder reactors to staff training, says a CEA press release. “In addition to the on-going cooperation in the nuclear field, the CEA and Rosatom are considering potential partnerships in renewable energy, particularly power storage systems,” the statement says.
