The World Mining Congress & Expo is held every two years, being one of the major events in the mining industry sphere. The event is traditionally visited by the heads of major international enterprises, experts and key players of the world’s mining industry.

The participation of the atomic corporation in the event might look illogic at first sight. However, let us not forget the Rosatom’s mining division: Atomredmetzoloto (ARMZ). The company has recently been on the way to business’ diversification, besides uranium mining doing exploration and production of gold ore, along with ore rare elements. World Mining Congress & Expo during the years of its existence has substantially expanded its subjects, which is the other thing. Today the event is attended by research community representatives, heads and specialists of the major world companies.

At the exhibition Rosatom was part of the united display of the Russian Federation. The exhibition boards contained information about the Corporation‘s integrated offer to the world market, which includes infrastructural, industrial, energy, financial HR- and PR solutions. The visitors learnt about construction and operation of NPPs on Russian designs across the world, Rosatom’s leadership positions in the global nuclear power market, as well as its mining division, uranium resources and mining sites.

The exposition raised big interest. Foreign colleagues asked questions about Rosatom’s work abroad, possible partnership in construction and operation of NPPs. Besides Russia the exhibition showed expositions from Australia, China, India, Canada, USA, Mongolia. There also was a congress held along, where new technologies, applied in mining industry, were demonstrated.
