back to contentsOn January 20-22 Russian atomists visited the VI World Future Energy Summit (WFES 2014) in Abu-Dhabi (UAE). The event is annual, consists of two integrated exhibitions dedicated to energetics and ecology and occupies the space of about 40000 m². The 4-th summit in 2011 brought together 26391 specialists from 112 countries in 4 days. The exhibition with the area of 40 000 m² united at its site 600 participants from 31 countries, including 18 national pavilions of: Canada, Denmark, Germany, Hon-Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Portugal, China, France, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, USA and Great Britain.
Rosatom presented its untied exposition with the participation of Atomenergoprom (integrated company consolidating civil assets of Russian atomic industry) and OKBM Africantov (one of the leading Russian designer organizations of nuclear engineering). The participants were demonstrated press walls, showing Rosatom’s capacities at the nuclear technologies world market along with innovational reactor installments for NPPs designed by OKBM. Rosatom’s and Rusatom Overseas’ international business department representatives took part in the WFES business program.
The same days Rosatom specialists presented their achievements at the V Nuclear Power Asia 2014 exhibition-conference in Hanoi (Vietnam). The IV-th exhibition took place in Malaysia’s Kuala-Lumpur and was the biggest industry’s event in the region. Nuclear Power Asia 2013 united 193 participants representing 93 companies from 21 countries, including Bangladesh, Great Britain, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, China, Malaysia, UAE, Pakistan, Russia, USA, Thailand, France, South Korea, Japan etc.
The special point of the year’s program has become “MENA Day”, when the key projects and events in the regions of Middle East, North Africa and Turkey were presented. Rosatom brought united exposition with the participation of companies like TVEL (Rosatom’s fuel company), NIAEP –Atomstroyexport united engineering company; VNIPIET (Russian multi-profile organization doing design works for nuclear defense facilities and nuclear power industry; Gydropress – development design bureau, making equipment and nuclear power and special systems installments for atomic industry.
The Forum’s guests got acquainted with information concerning directions of Russian-Vietnamese partnership with the example of NPP construction in Nin Thuan province; Russia’s experience in complex construction and modernization of research reactors in Russia and abroad. They also learned about possibilities of education in atomic sphere for Vietnamese students in Russia and about the first foreign information center for nuclear industry, open in 2012 in Vietnam with the initiative of the Russian party
