According to the document, Rosatom will assist Mongolian experts in developing technical solutions and specifications for a national nuclear science and technology center (NSTC). “The memorandum also provides for the development of a road map for the NSTC project,” a representative of Rosatom said. To achieve these goals, the parties will establish joint working teams.

The document was signed by Rosatom’s Deputy CEO Nikolai Spassky and Gunaajav Manlaijav, Secretary of the Nuclear Energy Commission of Mongolia. The signing ceremony took place on the margins of a meeting organized by the Russian-Mongolian Intergovernmental Commission.
