The processing line was purchased from Susarny Praha s.r.o., based in the Czech Republic, and the project was developed by JSC VNIPIpromtechnologii, operated by ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. The work completion and putting the system into pilot commercial operation is scheduled for December 2014. “Currently, the moisture content in our end product is up to 30%. After implementation of this advanced drying technology, the moisture content will decrease to as low as 2%. Therefore, we will be able to save money through more efficient logistics, i.e. shipment of yellow cake for processing to obtain high-purity uranium compounds will require fewer transportation packages,” explains Aleksandr Borgoyakov, the Foreman of productive solution processing plant. A dry concentrate production capacity of the new system will amount to 120 kg per hour, which corresponds to JSC Dalur production volumes, including the Khokhlovskoye field development.
