ROSATOM intends to draft a new intergovernmental agreement with Argentina on the peaceful use of atomic energy this year, the public corporation’s draft annual report for 2013 says. Earlier, ROSATOM CEO Sergey Kirienko said about Russian nuclear workers’ interest in participation in national nuclear programs of Latin America countries, in the first place Brazil and Argentina. Also this year it is planned to complete the preparation for exchange of diplomatic notes with Japan concerning nuclear material, which will be at Russian installations in the framework of implementation of the intergovernmental agreement on peaceful atom of 2009. It is also planned to continue the cooperation with South Africa on expansion of the contractual legal framework.
At the VI International Forum ATOMEXPO-2014 NIAEP and IBM East Europe/Asia signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at development of the cooperation in the systems engineering and technologies for design and construction management. NIAEP and IBM have cooperated for a long time to create a requirement management system for building large facilities, such as NPPs. Besides, the companies plan to jointly generate solutions for the diversification strategy of the united company NIAEP-ASE. “IBM has worked for nearly forty years in Russia and formed an optimal pattern of offering products and services, given the Russian features. This includes the MULTI-D technology features, which was developed by NIAEP’s specialists,” Valery Limarenko, the head of the Russian company, said.
