On A Turnkey Basis
back to contentsThe companies of Atomenergomash are ready to offer utilities for fuel and energy complex and reconstruction of basic equipment on a turnkey basis. Atomenergomash representatives took part in the “Fuel & Energy Complex of Ukraine: Present and Future” forum. On one of the round tables the discussed topic was about Ukraine’s plans concerning technical re-equipping of Fuel &Energy Complex generating capacities. The members spoke about whether it would be effective to do a wide-scale reconstruction of main equipment of Ukrainian electric power stations or just build new ones. The first option was decided to be better in today’s economic situation. While Igor Kotov, General Director of Zio-Podolsk and ZIOMAR, said that Russian corporation was developing several complex programs and solutions specially for Ukraine and was ready to offer “boiler on a turnkey basis”.
Package proposal
“Atomenergomash pays greater attention to the Fuel &Energy Complex reconstruction and can offer package proposal for generating capacities recommission in thermal power, – Kotov noted. – Today ZiO-Podolsk modernization program is being implemented, first of all for producing equipment for thermal power”.
ZiO-Podolsk and ZIOMAR have big plans in Ukraine, speaking about equipment supplying as well. The group is planning to take 50% of Ukrainian market in thermal power equipment by 2020, said Andrey Savkin, Commercial Manager of ZIOMAR.
“Today we are taking part in all tenders. We have potential to offer quality production, – noted Savkin. –There are negotiations with Donbassenergo and with DTEK. We are planning to sign the contracts by the end of 2013”.
Russia is considering a possibility of allowing credit for modernization of thermal electric power stations. “The question if Atomenergomash is ready to co-finance the modernization is being discussed during the negotiations. It is quite possible”, – said Andrey Savkin.
TPP and NPP
Rosatom is cooperating with Ukraine not only in thermal power but in nuclear as well. Russian specialists are building two units of the Khmelnitskiy NPP, the construction is going ahead of schedule. Not long ago Russia and Ukraine signed an agreement on cooperation in nuclear safety. “In case of nuclear emergency at a reactor or while performing other operations in the nuclear sphere for peaceful purposes on a state’s territory which results or may result in transboundary emission of radioactive substances to the other country’s territory, the country where the accident took place is to inform the other immediately”, – says the project text.
Besides, in case one of the parties registers the fact of aggravation of radiation environment, the partner is to be duly informed with no delay. According to the document the parties will annually exchange information concerning safety of nuclear installments, however state secrets are no to be transmitted.
