The interim report of the IAEA expert group was presented in St. Petersburg in the office of the Architect General of the plant, ROSATOM’s engineering company Atomproekt. The work to study and analyze the EIA materials took more than one year. The studies focused, among other, on the trans-boundary impacts on territories of the states, which are situated near the NPP construction site, i.e. Lithuania, Poland, and the Republic of Belarus. The international peer review team also analyzed materials on the radiation protection of the public and environment, carried out independent prospective dose calculations for Baltic NPP etc. The final report of the IAEA expert group will be available in January 2015.
